Malta to welcome vaccinated Brits from June!
The UK government has yet to announce easing of travel restrictions, however we are seeing more countries across the world announcing they are opening up for travel. Last week Malta announced that it would be opening up for UK travellers who are able to prove that they are fully vaccinated with a vaccine approved for use in the EU. Approved travellers will not be required to provide a negative PCR test certificate as is required at present. This is a very exciting development as Malta is leading the way with vaccinations in the European Union and does not just present a country willing to open to tourism but a country that is taking the safety of tourists and locals seriously. The hospitality industry has implemented its ‘Sunny and Safe’ Covid protocols to ensure the highest safety standards. In a statement, Malta Tourism said that the health and safety of Maltese citizens and tourists was the top priority. From the 1st of June British travellers will be able to enter Malta.
